*It was a great weekend to be a fan of the Philadelphia Flyers, ending with yesterday’s Flyers Charities Carnival and beginning with Saturday’s big win over the Edmonton Oilers. Vibes are outstanding at the moment. RECAP!

*It was a huge afternoon for Matvei Michkov, who came back from the break clearly refreshed and ready to dunk on some fools. [BSH]

*Some would say he dazzled, even. [The Athletic]

*We also got our first look at New Guy Jakob Pelletier, who hadn’t played a game in nearly a month. [BSH]

*And if you’re a subscriber over at Charlie’s website, you can check out his observations from Saturday’s win. [PHLY]

*Now that we are back to normal NHL action, the trade rumors have resumed. And the two Flyers you’d expect are part of the speculation. [BSH]

*Folks are still talking about the wild success of the 4 Nations tournament. Remains to be seen if the NHL can actually capitalize off of that success, though. [Inquirer]

*Coming off of 4 Nations, there are important questions to be asked. Like should the Flyers sign Brad Marchand? [BSH]

*Given what a success the tourney was, it’ll be interesting to see if this marks the death of the regular All-Star game. [ESPN]

*Yesterday’s Carnival is the big marquee event for Flyers Charities, but it’s not the only cool thing they do. Like this story, for example. [Inquirer]

*The draft will be here before we know it and this will be the first year that the NHL isn’t treating it as An Event. [TSN]

*And finally, our Winter 25 Under 25 rolls on with numbers 15-11; we’re getting real close to the top of the list! You’ll never guess who came first. Never. [BSH]
