Tuesday Morning Fly By: Big test for the boys

*The Flyers are, as they say, shipping up to Boston for tonight’s first game of the season against the Bruins. Going to be a real hard game to win if the Flyers only show up for part of it, so here’s hoping a few lessons were learned from Sunday’s loss to the Habs. Anyhoo, there are signs emerging that Sean Couturier may not be cooked. This is a good thing. [Inquirer]

*While the goalie situation remains in flux, it’s fair to say that Aleksei Kolosov performed admirably in his first NHL game. [BSH]

*If you’d like a more thorough analysis of Kolosov’s game, perhaps you’d like to read what Marty Biron had to say about the effort. [The Athletic]

*Kolosov’s pals up in Allentown are having a rough start to the year. Much like the Big Club, the Phantoms are struggling to figure it out in the early going. [BSH]

*Let’s see how things are going for Jett Luchanko since heading back to Guelph…

… welp. Highly likely that our boy Jett will be freed from whatever mess leads to a 10-1 loss, and here are the team we think are most likely to try and get him. London would be a fun result, huh? [BSH]

*And finally, big contracts. They always seem to get people worked up. These are the guys who will probably end up getting one very soon. [ESPN]
