The Flyers will be on national TV 20 times during the 2019-2020 season

We’ve known what the Flyers’ 2019-20 schedule has looked like for a while now, but now we know just how much we’ll see them on national TV thanks to the NHL and NBC.

The NHL and NBC revealed their broadcast schedule this morning and it very prominently features the Flyers in 20 games, with 17 Eastern Conference clashes —including 13 within the Metropolitan Division— and three against the Western Conference.

Claude Giroux, Carter Hart and friends will be featured on the infamous “Wednesday Night Rivalry Hockey” eight times, with five coming inside the division —including season opening night against Jack Hughes and the Devils on October 9th. The other three will come against the West, with dates against the Oilers and Connor McDavid, the Avalanche, and the defending Stanley Cup Champion Blues.

While the Flyers are mostly on NBCSN this season, they do find their way to NBC for the “Game of the Week,” where they’ll square off with the Rangers in the beginning of March and then the Penguins at the end of March.

Here’s a look at said schedule, with a bunch on intriguing matchups for the Flyers as they look to push back into the playoff picture. It won’t be an easy slate, either, as most games come against playoff teams from a year ago while the rest feature the Rangers, Red Wings, and Devils; all of whom could be vastly improved from where they were a year ago. At least the Blue Jackets figure to take a step back, though.
