The Game: 7:00 p.m. EST on NBCSports Philadelphia, ESPN+/Hulu, and 93.3 WMMR The Flyers enter tonight\'s game on a three-win streak, taking down the New Jersey Devils in overtime on Tuesday--but it would\'ve been an eight game streak, save for a fluky overtime goal in Nashville just over a week ago. Tonight presents an opportunity for revenge, as the Nashville Predators come to town. The Preds have continued their strong play lately, going 7-3-0 in their last ten as head coach Andrew Brunette\'s systems seem to be clicking into place for the retooling team. Nashville\'s sitting comfortably in the first wildcard spot in the Western Conference, and only three points behind the Winnipeg Jets. Between Roman Josi, Juuse Saros, Filip Forsberg, and a resurgent Ryan O\'Reilly, the Preds have enough high-end to elite talent to remain competitive as a few of their young prospects find their footing at the NHL level. Not much has changed for either team since their last meeting, so nothing new to report. Joel Farabee\'s finally getting some special teams time, so let\'s hope that continues. His 19 points at 5-on-5 has him tied for fifth in the league, and 11 of those points are goals--what\'s more impressive is that seven of his eight assists are primaries, which means he\'s having one of the strongest even strength impacts among forwards in the NHL. We cannot stress this enough: Joel Farabee is having a remarkable season, and his ice time should start reflecting that. Players to Watch Owen Tippett OT in OT has a nice ring to it, JJ. https://twitter.com/NHLFlyers/status/1737302488473067557?s=20 It\'s not every day you see someone steal a puck like that from superstar Jack Hughes. It\'s also not every day you see Morgan Frost swan jump into the arms of his teammate. Speaking of Frost... Morgan Frost The worst thing a forward can be is \"unnoticeable.\" Over this recent stretch, Frost has been extremely noticeable. He doesn\'t have that many points to show for it, but he\'s making plays with far more confidence than at the start of the season, and even John Tortorella\'s begrudgingly acknowledged that he\'s improving. Look for him to continue to make his case to be part of the future, because behind him we have... Ryan Poehling What a game Poehling had on Tuesday, huh? Two of the three Flyers goals. He\'s been flying around the ice, and may be the exact kind of player you want centering your fourth line: a combination of speed, a little grit, and enough skill to be an offensive threat. Even better, it looks like he could hold a top-nine role in a pinch should someone be out for one reason or another. Luke Evangelista We\'re going a little off board with this one; sure, we could\'ve gone with a known quantity like Josi or O\'Reilly, but sometimes you gotta check out other youths in the league. Evangelista was picked in the second round of the 2020 draft, 12 spots ahead of Emil Andrae. He played 24 games with the Preds last season, netting seven goals and fifteen points in that time. This year, he\'s got 16 points in 31 games; he\'s in a bit of a goal drought, but he\'s been getting prime minutes on the second line and some time on the second power play unit.
