Did anyone even throw a punch?

The Philadelphia Flyers lost 3-0 in Boston to the Bruins on Thursday night.

That lede contains all the energy and enthusiasm the orange and black displayed in one of their most embarrassing efforts, in an early season full of them thus far.

The box score tells me the Flyers put 26 shots on net. I can’t remember any of them. I do remember Scott Laughton getting beaten up before he could take his gloves off. I do remember Brian Elliott getting driven into his net late, and a puck being shot in his direction after a whistle.

What I really took away from this one, though, was the lackluster response to all of those things, not to mention coming into the third period down 2-0 and playing the first half of the stanza as if it were an optional morning skate.

Listen to the BSH Radio Facebook Live postgame and hear me vent my frustrations on a night I wish the Flyers would have at least done the same.
