The Two O’Clock Number

+16Braydon Coburn‘s Corsi score in the Flyers‘ Game 4 loss to the Buffalo Sabres. No other Flyer skater was in double digits.

Corsi is a plus/minus-style statistic that measures how many shot attempts (goals, saves, missed shots, and blocked shots) a player was on the ice for. Coburn’s +16 means that he was on the ice for sixteen more Flyer attempts than Sabre attempts.

I’ve never done an advanced stat in the 2O# before, and I don’t plan on making a habit of it, but this number is insane.

Go ahead and give yourself a triple fist pump, Braydon. You’ve earned it.
