The Two O’Clock Number

2 — Since 1980, the total number of playoff series the Flyers have won in the nine postseasons following one which saw them reach the conference finals or better.

Click on the above to make it big and legible.  For some reason, the Y-axis label disappeared, but it is the percentage of the path to the Cup that the Flyers completed in a given year.  For example, the Flyers won 14 of the 16 playoff games necessary to win the Stanley Cup in 2010, so the value for that year is 14/16 = 87.5%.

Basic idea: sharp peaks after failure, sharp drop-offs after success.
