*Big News yesterday in the wake of that loss to the stupid Habs was that the Flyers cut three more guys from the training camp roster. No big surprises here. [BSH]

*No wait that wasn’t the big news. The Big News was that we learned that Trevor Zegras gave Rick Tocchet a nickname! [BSH]

*Anyhoo, we’re back at it tonight, this time against the Capitals. Despite the lousy result a couple of guys looked good in that game in Montreal; time to see if the can keep it up. [Inquirer]

*If you’re a subscriber over at Charlie’s website and you missed his Thoughts on the loss on Tuesday, you can check them out before tonight’s game. Which is on TV! [PHLY]

*One of the guys Chuck calls out is Helge Grans, who might have a real solid shot to make this team right out of camp this year. [Inquirer]

*This could spell trouble for our old pal Egor. [BSH]

*Here’s a nice little summary of what camp has taught us all so far. [The Athletic]

*Lots of eyes focusing on the goalies in these first two games — for good reason — and Maddie dives into why the Phantoms’ goaltending picture is looking like it’ll be pretty good this year. [BSH]

*Related: the latest BSH Prospect Report! [BSH]

*We’re rolling around the Metro Division previewing the teams the Flyers will be competing with for a spot in the ‘yoffs this season. Like these Carolina Hurricanes. [BSH]

*Speaking of other teams and the ‘yoffs, there could be a lot of swings in and out of the postseason this year. Though (spoiler alert) they don’t seem to think the Flyers will be one of the teams swinging in. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, on Bernie Parent, a man who many of us never saw play but who we’ll never forget anyway. [BSH]
