*Now listen, we don’t begrudge Brad Shaw taking a job with an up-and-coming team with several exciting young defensemen on it. Great for him, really. But it’s the Devils, soooo… sorry Brad. We can’t be friends anymore. [BSH]

*While we’re talking coaches… looks like Ian Laperriere is out?? [BSH]

*Have you guys been paying attention to Worlds? Specifically, what Tyson Foerster’s been up to while playing for Canada? It’s been SOMETHING. [BSH]

*Over at The Failing New York Times Kurz asked a bunch of other NHL coaches what they think about Rick Tocchet, and you’l be shocked to learn that they’ve nothing but good things to say about him. [The Athletic]

*We’re just a little over a month out from the draft which means it’s a fine time to start throwing some mocks out there. [Inquirer]

*Speaking of the draft, next up on your Community Draft Board at #23 is a BIG risk. A bigger risk than McQueen, one could argue. But for a completely different reason. [BSH]

*The Noted Experts continue to analyze this year’s draft class and one thing that’s good for the Flyers is that, despite it projecting to be a kinda weak draft overall, there are a number of really good options at center to choose from. [TSN]

*The other day we told you why the Flyers should go after Mitch Marner. Today we’re telling you why they definitely should not. [BSH]

*If I was looking for someone to run my hockey team, I’m not sure I’d look at the Maple Leafs and think, “you know what? I want the guy that built THAT.” [Sportsnet]

*And finally… Conn Smythe: WHO YA GOT? [ESPN]
