*Tuesday sure was a doozy, and while yesterday mercifully wasn’t quite as busy around the league, we still had a bit of interesting activity unfolding. Here are the quick hits:
- The Capitals are staying busy, and locked down Alex Tuch in a sign-and-trade deal. [TSN]
- Speaking of getting locked down, the Sabres inked Zach Benson to a long-term contract. [Sportsnet]
- And the NHL is looking at expansion… again. [ESPN]
*That’s a whole lot going on around the league, but what should the Flyers do, in the face of all of these flurries of activity? [The Athletic]
*Elsewhere, new Flyers Joseph Woll and Simon Benoit have had some time to process the trade, and are anxious to get going. [BSH]
*And in the fallout from all of these other trades throughout the league, it’s looking like it might just be more difficult for the Flyers, if they were looking to move up in the first round. [BSH]
*Of course, if they stay in their range, they have lots of good options. Like, for example, any one of these interesting defensemen? [Inquirer]
*He probably won’t be around for the Flyers to grab at 21, but wouldn’t it be cool if he was? Can we get some noise for Wyatt Cullen? [NBCSP]
*Hey look, another mock draft! This time from a Flyers insider! [PHLY]
*We also, at long last, wrapped up our Community Draft Board. Congrats to Casey Mutryn for claiming the final spot. [BSH]
*We’re also zooming out a little bit to ask ourselves, what exactly the Flyers need from this draft, and how can they approach getting it? [BSH]
*And finally, we’re having a draft party! You should come to our draft party! [BSH]
