*Well, the Maxim Shabanov dream (?) is dead, as the Russian forward elected to sign with the Islanders. Enjoy Long Island, I guess. [THN]

*Anyhoo, back to guys who want to be here: Porter Martone hit the ice at dev camp, and boy is it going to be fun to see what this kid turns into. [BSH]

*Related, here are the main guys you’re going to want to pay attention to as development camp rolls on. [BSH]

*Let’s take a little time to close out the Thoughts on Danny Briere’s July 1 activities: if you’re a subscriber over at Charlie’s website, you can check out his thoughts on all the moves GMDB made. [PHLY]

*We’ve got some thoughts too. When you look at the guys the Flyers signed, you can kind of see what they’re going for. It makes sense. [BSH]

*The framing of this article is absolutely hilarious. Full stop. Just a flaming hot bag of takes on your porch that you need to stomp out. That’s all I’ve got. [The Athletic]

*These are the five most important things Danny Briere said in his post-July 1 presser, in case you missed it. [BSH]

*There are still some interesting names still hanging out there unsigned. Most notably Nikolaj Ehlers. Will be interesting to see where he ends up. [TSN]

*And here’s a quick note on every notable signing that has happened thus far. There have been several! [Sportsnet]

*Anyway back to the Flyers. Right now the timeline on Tyson Foerster’s injury is pretty unknown, so we’ll all be doing the “wait and see” thing through the rest of the summer and into the start of camp. [NBC Sports Philly]

*And finally, Porter Martone is one of us. He’s always been one of us. It rules that this kid is a Flyer. [BSH]
