Thursday Morning Fly By: You’re a hero, Kyle Beach

*The player we’ve all seen referred to as “John Doe” until yesterday, Kyle Beach, spoke publicly for the first time on TSN to Rick Westhead, the reporter who brought this story to light. The interview is hard to watch. It hurt my soul to watch the pain on this man’s face. But you should watch it. We need to know these things. We need to hold this league to account. [TSN]

*And then after watching that, we all watched a Flyers game. Well, some people did. I, dear reader, went to sleep. RECAP! [BSH]

*Last night was the first time in a VERY long time that the Flyers got to play a hockey game in Canada. Many of the Canadian players were really, really happy to play at home again. [Inquirer]

*Carter Hart is off to a strong start, for the most part. But he’s still got a lot of ground to make up if he’s going to get back to his peak form. [BSH]

*If you needed proof that the hockey gods find humor in torturing Flyers fans, Robert Hagg appears to be Buffalo’s best defenseman. [Die By The Blade]

*Looks like Sidney Crosby will be back with the Penguins soon. [Pensburgh]

*In case you weren’t yet aware of them, the Wells Fargo Center has some Covid-related rules you may want to peruse if you plan on going to a game sometime soon. [Inquirer]
