*According to the scientific method (googling), there are 54 games between us and the Flyers’ first preseason game. Remember when Egor Zamula wore #54? He did that for a bit. Anyhoo, like everyone else on earth we at Broad Street Hockey are in full Olympics mode, which made us ask a very important question: which Flyers would be best to compete in the Summer Olympics? [BSH]

*Speaking of Flyers who are good at things (flawless segue), we have a couple of kids in the Summer Showcase are popping off. [BSH]

*The Flyers are almost certainly not going to make any UFA signings this Summer, given that we are practically in August and they’ve not even suggested that they might. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few that might help them this season. [Bleacher Reports]

*Related, there are still a bunch of unsigned RFAs hanging out there, waiting for contracts. Some pretty good ones, too. [Sportsnet]

*Martin Necas is no longer on this list. [TSN]

*We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: the offseason is for silly lists and rankings! And this particular list is a long one. [BSH]

*And finally, it’s that time of year again, when Dom over at The Athletic asks us all to vote on how confident we are in our front office. Get out there and be heard, Flyers fans. Always interesting to see where this ends up. [The Athletic]
