*According the Philadelphia’s #1 Hockey Beat Writer Charlie O’Connor, the Flyers will begin their exit interviews today. Evidently they’re being split up into a few days this week. Will, as always, be interesting to see what comes out of these. Anyhoo, it what will almost certainly be the first of a million things just like this over the summer, Rick Tocchet made some comments about Matvei Michkov on a radio show. [BSH]
*Everyone’s favorite insider, Elliotte Friedman, also had some things to say about this whole Michkov sturm und drang. [BSH]
*We also got a letter to the fans from the front office, which was pretty nice:
*We’re only a couple days out so you may still feel a little raw and bummed out about Saturday night’s overtime loss, but in a couple weeks, with the benefit of hindsight, I think we’ll all feel really good about how this season has set this team up for future success. [The Athletic]
*If you’re a subscriber over at Charlie’s website you can read his dive into the fancy stats behind this short little playoff run. [PHLY]
*Let’s put a bow on that Canes series with some grades for each and every Flyers’ performance over the course of those four games. [BSH]
*Have you picked yourself a wagon yet? It’s always fun to pick a wagon when the Flyers are no longer an option. If you need a little assistance with this choice, DGB offers up a ranking of all of the remaining series based on nothing but the popular narratives. Sometimes picking a good story is the fun way to go! [The Athletic]
*And finally, as we’ve said (and will likely continue to say, because it bears repeating), this is a big, big, big summer for Danny Briere. And as such, we have some big questions we think need answering heading into this big, big, big summer. [BSH]
