Tuesday Morning Fly By: Don’t embarrass us

Today’s open discussion thread, complete with your daily dose of Philadelphia Flyers news and notes.

*You get one (1) day maximum away from the Flyers between now and the end of the season (for the most part, do not fact check me), so the boys are back at it tonight against our old pal Claude Giroux. THEY BETTER NOT LOOK LIKE CRAP IN FRONT OF G. Anyway if you subscribe over at Charlie’s site, read his breakdown of the last game before this one. [PHLY]

*Can you believe it’s already been two years since the Flyers fired Chuck Fletcher? Somehow it feels like ten years and also ten seconds. Briere still has a lot of work ahead of him. [BSH]

*So, Cam York was scratched for a game. Is this worth reading into? Does this mean he’s not one of Torts’ Guys and as such will eventually be banished like Farabee and Frost were? Unclear! But maybe! [The Athletic]

*The last four games have been pretty bad. Both in process and result. So the Flyers are focusing on small improvements moving forward. Fixing the foundation, or something. [BSH]

*Power rankings! And after the deadline they had, the first overall team makes perfect sense. [TSN]

*And finally, I’m a sucker for the feel-good stories that come from Flyers Charities projects, so maybe you are too. [Inquirer]
