*The Flyers will face the Montreal Canadiens tonight in the second of their way-too-many preseason games, and even though we’re only one game into this thing we’re already starting to ask some questions based on what we’re seeing. Like, for example, is there any chance Jack Nesbitt makes this team? [BSH]

*Nesbitt really impressed in that first game against the Islanders, and if he keeps it up he might find himself in the mix for one of these open spots. The other guy that really impressed? Rodrigo Abols. [Inquirer]

*If you’re a subscriber over at Charlie’s website, he’s got some observations about Abols and some other bubble guys who made a little bit of noise on Sunday night. [PHLY]

*Look ahead to the regular season, a big question we’ll need to have answered centers on the Captain, and if he can return to form and keep it up for 82 games. We think he can do it. [BSH]

*Then there are all these questions surrounding the defense. With Rasmus Ristolainen out for the foreseeable, and guys like Cam York and Jamie Drysdale still needing to show they’ve Got It, we’re going to see just how good the Flyers’ depth on D is right now. [BSH]

*We’ve made it to the #2 ranked player on this year’s 25 Under 25, and it’s New Guy Porter Martone. It’s not often that a guy drafted just a few months ago ranks this highly on these lists, but it’s no surprise that we are pretty pumped about Martone. You’ll never guess who #1 is. [BSH]

*Speaking of rankings, TSN is doing their annual Top 50 players in the league list, and yesterday they released numbers 50-41. Will be interesting to see if a single Flyer cracks the top 50. [TSN]

*Too early to talk about who is going to win the Vezina? Nah. Never too early. [Sportsnet]

*And finally… poor Scoot. He did his best. We’ll always love him down here, even if he can’t win over those maniac Leafs fans. [Sportsnet]
