VIDEO: Why Jett Luchanko could play for the Flyers next season

The moment I saw Elite Prospects’ David St-Louis publish a video about Jett Luchanko’s “fast track” to the NHL and essentially say, that he believes that the Flyers’ 2024 first-round pick can play games for the team as an 18-year-old, I knew I had to talk to him about it.

After the Flyers picked Luchanko at 13th overall, there was a disappointment and honestly, utter shock, that the team did not go with the public consensus and grab up either of top prospects Zeev Buium or Konsta Helenius. They went off the board, away from what people thought the first round was going to go, and selected the speedy center out of Guelph.

But now, they have him, and as points out in this quick podcast, there are plenty of reasons to get excited.

What should we expect from Luchanko this upcoming season? What is his scouting process? Can he be a top-line center? Can he work on the same line as Matvei Michkov? All these questions and more, were answered.
