The start to the Game 3 between the Washington Capitals and Philadelphia Flyers – the first playoff game in Philadelphia – was incredibly emotional. How could it not be? It’s the first game played in Philadelphia since the Flyers clinched the playoffs – and the first since the building unknowingly said goodbye to team founder Ed Snider.
How does one follow up that emotion? There’s no better way to do it than with a goal.
Enter: Michael Raffl. Just 57 seconds into the game the Flyers went up 1-0, taking their first lead of the series in the process.

Naturally.
Go hard. Go to the net. Play Flyers hockey, the identity Ed Snider brought to the team.
The Flyers took the emotion over-pouring from the building and capitalized on it. That still leaves 59 minutes to go – but if they can do it any night, it’s going to be this one.
