*Well, the Flyers didn’t do anything crazy on June 23 this year, but a whole bunch of other teams did. Quick recap:
- The Senators picked up young forward William Eklund from San Jose for the 9th overall pick. [ESPN]

- And finally, the big one, the Blackhawks have acquired Bowen Byram and Jordan Greenway from Buffalo for the 4th overall pick, the 45th, and a depth defenseman. [Sportsnet]
*The Byram trade is particularly wild for a lot of reasons, but we’re glad to see him go somewhere else, because for all of the rumblings that were coming up, the potential fit with the Flyers didn’t really make any sense. [BSH]
*In Flyers related almost-news, though, an extension isn’t inked with Jamie Drysdale just yet, but the word is that we’re getting very close to it. [BSH]
