*After what felt like several weeks of totally crappy hockey, the Flyers took on the Caps on home ice last night and won a god dang hockey game. RECAP!
*Prior to the game, GM Danny Briere spoke with the media about all of The Stuff going on with Tocchet and Michkov. Nothing groundbreaking here but definitely something Briere needed to do to get a handle on this thing. [BSH]
*Some people are asking if any of this was even a big deal at all. [NBC Sports Philly]
*Whatever you think of it, the amount of national attention all of this was getting on Tuesday made it kind of impossible for Briere to remain quiet. [BSH]
*Anyway let’s talk about something good: Trevor Zegras is finally getting a long look at center AND ALSO he let Denver Barkey move into his house. How many nights a week do you think they make pizza rolls? [Inquirer]
*If you try to pin down one single reason why this season has totally fallen off, you’d be hard pressed to find a better one than losing Tyson Foerster for the year. [The Athletic]
*In case you missed it, in a wholly separate media availability Danny Briere told all of us to manage our expectation for the trade deadline this year. [BSH]
*Related, the latest trade board, which still features some pretty interesting names. Some names the Flyers ought to be interested in, anyway. And an interesting insight into what the Flyers might be looking to do. [Sportsnet]
*Back to Good Things, now that Denver Barkey is a big-time NHLer, he won’t be going to the AHL All-Star Game anymore. Which has turned into good news for new-ish guy Christian Kyrou. [BSH]
*And finally, we are now one game away from two weeks off from the Flyers. You, dear reader, need this break. We need this break. Collectively, as a society, it will be very good for all of us to not think about the Flyers for a little while. It’s going to be a good break for these guys too, we think. [BSH]
