*We are back into the swing of things in a big way, folks! Before we get into this most recent game’s happenings, let’s go deep on that preseason opener out in Hershey.
- To begin, we have our own recap of the action and our big takeaways. [BSH]
- And then Charlie has his own expanded observations. [PHLY]
- How about some more takeaways? [Inquirer]
- And, would you look at that, even more! [NBCSP]
*That game, notably, saw Denver Barkey leave with injury, but we got some tentative good news on that front at practice yesterday. [NBCSP]
*Okay, now that’s out of the way, we can pivot. The Flyers went up to Boston looking to right the ship last night, and things did not go great for them. [BSH]
*Even worse than the loss, though, was the fact that they lost Dan Vladar to injury early on in that one. [BSH]
*That’s enough doom and gloom though, we simply cannot linger on that any longer. Something to be excited about, to be sure, is another season ahead for a fun group of young forwards who are looking to make a big impact. [BSH]
*Chiefly among them is Tyson Foerster, who’s ready to really get rolling after all of that time lost with injury. [Inquirer]
*And, on the other side, there’s defenseman Cam York, who wants to tap into a bit more offense in his game as well. [Inquirer]
*It’s only the practice setting, yeah yeah yeah, but we got an early look at what the Flyers are experimenting with for their power play. And it sure is something! [BSH]
*Cole Knuble came into this camp as a more under the radar prospect, but it’s hard to say that he’s held on to that title. He’s having himself a monster training camp, and he’s put himself squarely in the conversation for a job with the Flyers. [BSH]
*And hey, did you know his dad Played Here? It’s really important that you don’t forget that his father is a Former Flyer. [The Athletic]
