*The boys are back in action tonight after another weird multi-day break, this time up in NYC, at the train station, to take on the New York Rangers. There’s one guy you definitely won’t see in this game, though. Because he’s back up in Allentown. [BSH]

*Heading in to tonight’s game, Brad Shaw let us all know that now that the Flyers are officially out of the playoffs, they’ll be focused on “doing the right thing” as we run out the clock on this season. [Inquirer]

*Speaking of Shaw, he’s made it clear he wants to be the Flyers’ head coach. Given what we’ve seen him do in his time here, maybe they ought to give him a shot? [The Athletic]

*Looks like the Montreal Canadiens won’t be waiting much longer for their own small Russian savior to come over. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, in case you didn’t see it, after Ovie broke the record over the weekend Budweiser sent a special commemorative can of beer to every goalie that never allowed Ovechkin to score a goal on them. Hilariously, this list includes Michael Neuvirth. [Inquirer]
