*It was a big day yesterday for the assembled Flyers media, as they had their chance to ask the Flyers players anything they wanted, to presumably get some insight into how these guys felt about their season, the playoffs, etc. So naturally they asked a bunch of questions about Matvei Michkov, and, also naturally, his teammates had nothing bad to say about him. [BSH]
*Of course they spoke to Matvei himself as well, and as usual, Michkov did nothing to shy away from his disappointment in himself and his performance this season. [BSH]
*We learned from Porter Martone that he’ll be playing at Worlds again this year. Boy that’s a lot of hockey for this kid this calendar year! [Inquirer]
*We also learned from Owen Tippett that he was BLEEDING INTERNALLY. In addition to a sports hernia. Good lord. [BSH]
*Dan Vladar, who was nothing short of outstanding for this entire season, used his exit interview to reflect on the goal that ended the season. He blames himself. You hate to see it, but if that disappointment fuels him to be even better next season… [BSH]
*If you’re a subscriber over at Charlie’s website, you can read his takeaways from today’s interviews. [PHLY]
*Anyway while we’re all reflecting on the season, you know what’s cool? The Flyers defense proved itself to be much, much better than anyone expected at the start of the season. [BSH]
*And finally, as we look ahead to a summer that will almost certainly come with quite few changes to this roster, here are some guys we think may have played their last game in the orange and black. [BSH]
