Wednesday Morning Fly By: Not too shabby

*Listen, I think we all expected the Flyers to go into Carolina and get completely rocked by a much better Hurricanes team. And they didn’t! They looked pretty good! Owen Tippett scored! Morgan Frost scored! Kolosov looked okay! Wins to be found all over, really. RECAP!

*We learned yesterday that Sam Ersson, while still out injured, has accompanied the team on this road trip. Which likely means his injury, whatever it is, isn’t that serious. Great news. [NBC Sports Philly]

*The Flyers are still searching for solutions on offense, and John Tortorella seems to have focused in on some areas he thinks, if improved, can turn things around for this team. Scoresheet-wise, anyway. [PHLY]

*A few teams made some pretty big acquisitions this past offseason. Let’s have a look at how those are working out so far, shall we? Sure it’s early, who cares. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, a few Flyers’ names seem to still be kicking around when talk of the 4 Nations Team Canada roster comes up, and the folks putting that team together are going to have some tough choices to make as they prepare for this big tournament that everyone is definitely super interested in.
