2019 NHL Draft: The Philadelphia Flyers select Bobby Brink with the 34th overall pick

Well, it looked like the Flyers were going to stand pat at 45th overall today in the second round, but then Chuck Fletcher surprised us again! Fletcher dealt the 45th and the 65th overall picks to Nashville for the 34th overall selection to take right wing Bobby Brink from Sioux City of the USHL.

Brink scored 35 goals last season and tacked on 33 assists for a 68 point campaign in just 43 games good for fourth best in the USHL. Brink is another American prospect and is a University of Denver commit. The major knock on Brink has been his skating, but he’s done nothing but score in the USHL and his puck skills and hockey sense should make him an effective talent especially if his skating improves.

More to come…
