Mark your calendars and gird your loins, the Flyers are making a top-10 draft pick this year and we want you with us. SEVEN YEARS we’ve been bringing fans together to watch whatever inevitably disappointing move the Flyers make during the draft, and we’re doing it again this year.
For the second time in a row, we will be at Sports & Social inside Live! Casino, right down by Citizen’s Bank Park. The Casino offers free parking right on site, making things very easy for folks coming in from outside the city, and it is located right across the street from Citizen’s Bank Park, right off of all the various highways. Easy peasy. The party will start at 6pm and you’re going to want to get there early because we have some special stuff starting right away.
Here’s what we’re bringing you this year:
- Gritty will be swinging through for pictures and high fives
- Bob Kelly, Joe Watson, and Todd Fedoruk will be joining us to sign autographs, take pictures, and chat with fans
- A rousing game of Flyers Quizzo with prizes provided by the team
- The Flyers Sales Team will be on site with information about ticket packages and some swag to offer
- A special message from one of the Flyers’ more exciting prospects
- Drink specials thanks to our friends at Klyr Rum
- A few snacks provided by your friends at Broad Street Hockey
- Most importantly, having a great time in the same room as a bunch of weirdo Flyers fans who are way, way too invested in what the Flyers are going to do with their draft picks
The Draft begins at 7 p.m. but again, you’ll want to come early to experience the most of all of that fun stuff above. The alumni and Gritty will be coming in the 6 p.m. hour and Quizzo will happen pre-draft as well. Also if people are hungry the food might run out. You know how people get with free snacks.
Every year, no matter what, this is a great event. We don’t care who you cheer for, come and hope for the Flyers with us. Or laugh at the Flyers, sometimes we do that too. This is a hockey event for hockey fans in Philadelphia. Come as you are, we will be thrilled to see you.
