“Devils shutout Flyers” – schedule tweet

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: The Philadelphia Flyers were unable to score a goal against the New Jersey Devils.

It looked like Shayne Gostisbehere lit the lamp to tie the game at one in the first period, but incidental contact by a returning James van Riemsdyk against Keith Kinkaid nullified the tally, and the Flyers were unable to solve NJ’s netminder the rest of the way.

Philly hit five posts, Brian Elliott (23 saves on 25 shots) got hurt, and the Flyers fell to 4-6-0 at home and 9-9-1 overall.

Listen to the Facebook Live postgame with a frustrated Director of Fun and Games for the immediate analysis of this incredibly maddening hockey team you so desperately crave.
