The news of the week Not too much in the way of news this week. Zayde Wisdom is back up with the Phantoms after being sent down to Reading a couple of weeks ago, but he didn\'t see any playing time with them. Also back in action this week was Alex Ciernik, who\'s been out since taking an injury early in the World Junior tournament. What\'s up with the Phantoms? It\'s a very quick update on Phantoms happenings in this week\'s report, because they had an almost shockingly quiet week, with only one game on the schedule on Saturday. (Don\'t worry though, things pick back up again this week, and they\'ll be busy with three games between tomorrow and Sunday. It all balances out in the end). That one game for the Phantoms this week, unfortunately, was not a great one. In their matchup against Syracuse, we saw them allow the first goal and fall behind in the second period, but do some good work to bear down and tie things up before the second intermission. It looked like things might be opening up for them, but a power play goal for Syracuse inside the first two minutes of the third period saw them fall behind again, and despite the Phantoms controlling play for much of the remainder of the third period, they couldn\'t seem to convert on any of their chances. So it was another regulation loss for them. And as far as the stats go, both Bobby Brink and Samu Tuomaala assisted on it, and getting a little more into the weeds, Ethan Samson and Adam Ginning also brought a bit of flash, leading the team in shots on goal with four apiece. The prospect world tour And even our recap of this week\'s goings on outside of the AHL is going to be a bit more brief -- that\'s the nature of prospect watching, sometimes everyone seems to be popping off at the same time, and sometimes everyone seems to be having a down week at the same time. So it goes. But we\'ll kick things off, as we always do, in the NCAA. Hunter McDonald has been able to ride the wave of momentum from that Beanpot win last week and found a bit of productivity this weekend, picking up an assist. We also had another pair of prospects squaring off in the NCHC this weekend, and this time it was Bryce Brodzinski and Cole Knuble as Minnesota and Notre Dame met for a two game series. This series ended up split, each team came away with a win, and while Brodzinski was held off the board, Knuble put up two goals in Notre Dame\'s 6-1 win. Up North, Matteo Mann, who returned to the prospect report last week with an assist to note, was able to build on that effort pretty nicely -- this week, across his three games played, he was able to put up a goal. And over in the OHL, thing have remained on the quiet side for Oliver Bonk and Denver Barkey (that is, they\'re not playing poorly, but they\'re producing at a less torrid pace than we\'ve seen for much of this season). It was another three games on the schedule for the Knights again this week, and Barkey put up a goal and two assists (all of which came in the game against Windsor), while Bonk had just one assist on the week. To round things out, Ryan MacPhereson seems to be shaking off his cooler stretch, and got back on track with a goal scored this week. And finally, things are winding down for the KHL and their regular season, and the Flyers\' pair of prospects is still contributing pretty nicely. Alexei Kolosov had just one start this week, wherein he managed a pretty solid effort, stopping 22 of the 24 shots he faced, but he ultimately came away with the loss in what would be a 2-1 game. Matvei Michkov is also getting back into the swing of things nicely after his absence -- he tacked on another goal onto his total of 17 on the season, bringing him up to 38 points in his 44 games played to date.
