The News Of The Week We\'ve seen a few recalls to the Flyers of late, and that\'s about the whole of our news for this week. Since we last spoke, Olle Lycksell was sent down to the Phantoms for one game, then recalled again last weekend. Bobby Brink was also called up for Tuesday\'s game. And in case you couldn’t get enough recall news, we’ve got some more Ronnie Attard has also been called up from the Phantoms. What\'s Up With The Phantoms? It was another busy week for the Phantoms, and overall a pretty successful one. It was a week with three games against divisional opponents, and they kicked it off with a win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton before heading down to Charlotte and picking up a win in the first meeting of that two game series (they could not, though, come away with a clean sweep and did drop the rematch with Charlotte on Sunday). And for the standings watchers, the Phantoms are still sitting at seventh in their division, outside of a playoff spot, but they have gotten themselves within two points of sixth place, with two games in hand. And as far as the biggest contributors go, they won\'t come as a surprise. Olle Lycksell made the most of his single game back with the team and did some real damage in that first game in Charlotte, putting up a pretty stellar two goals and two assists (including assisting on the overtime winning goal). And the actual scorer of that goal was Bobby Brink, one of his three goals on the weekend, and one of his five point total. It\'s really been coming together for him of late, and it feels like little surprise that a week like this one finally earned him a call up. Elsewhere in the lineup, Samu Tuomaala chipped in an assist this weekend, and is still holding on to his second place spot on the Phantoms\' scoring ranking (he\'s at 37 points in 49 games). And beyond that, the Phantoms got a good bit of offense from their back end this week -- Ronnie Attard had a goal, Emil Andrae had three assists, and Ethan Samson also had a goal, finally picking up his first of the season. The Prospect World Tour The NCAA Tournament is right around the corner, but there\'s still a bit of regular season action to recap in the meantime. First up, it was a relatively quiet week for Cole Knuble, who\'s been on a bit of a tear recently, but that feels more like him being a victim of circumstance -- Notre Dame didn\'t fare very well in their series against Michigan, only scoring one goal across two games, but that one goal was assisted on by Knuble, so that\'s something. Over in the NCHC, Alex Bump absolutely cannot be slowed down. He put up another two goals and another assist for Western Michigan this weekend. Owen McLaughlin continues to roll along well too, and he had a goal and an assist on the weekend. And finally, Devin Kaplan seems to be picking up some steam as we head down the stretch -- he had a three point weekend (all assists) against UConn, matching his highest output for a weekend on the season. Speaking of picking up steam, dare we say Matteo Mann is on a bit of a tear here? He had a goal last week, and he has another goal this week, which feels like a pretty good mark to hit as a defensive defenseman like himself. The good news keeps on rolling too, as Alexis Gendron was back in action this week, after a brief absence with injury. We didn\'t see a huge amount of pop from him in his first three games back -- he put up just one assist -- but we\'ll see how he fares next week after he\'s settled back in a bit more. The tour throughout the junior hockey ranks continues on to London, where Denver Barkey and Oliver Bonk are, in short, continuing to do Denver Barkey and Oliver Bonk things. The points are rolling on in for these two, with Barkey collecting and other goal and two assists over their last two games played, while Bonk had a goal and an assist. And out West, it was also a productive week for the pair of prospects in the WHL – Carter Sotheran put up a goal and two assists across his last two games played with Portland, and Carson Bjarnason, having gotten the start in each of Brandon\'s last three games, put up two very solid showings (stopping 31 of 33 shots and 34 of 35) before dropping off a bit in that third showing, making 29 saves on 34 shots and allowing five goals. So it goes. And finally, we move abroad. While Alex Ciernik had a quiet return to action last week, being held scoreless while he got himself back up to game speed, this week he was able to get himself on the scoresheet again, with one assist on the week (baby steps, right?). We also saw Matvei Michkov wrap up his KHL season this week, and while he did it quite well on the whole – he added two goals and an assist to his total in his penultimate game – he was held scoreless in the final game, meaning he finished the season with 41 points in 48 games played, and fell just one point short of matching Kirill Kaprizov\'s record for points by a U20 player in a single season (he scored 42 in 49 games back in 2016-17). Still, though he fell short of that mark, that\'s still a very impressive feat that he\'s accomplished here.
