Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek dominate with three-point games

The Philadelphia Flyers‘ win over the Boston Bruins‘ saw two particularly impressive performances courtesy of Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek, and their three-point games.

It’s not the first time Giroux and Voracek have scored that much in a single game this season. The 3-2 win was Giroux’s third three-point game of the season, and Voracek’s second. They were involved in every Flyers goal, with Voracek scoring a goal and two assists, and Giroux registering three assists himself.

However, it was the first time they both had three points in the same game – the first time any two Flyers have had three-point games in the same game this season.

While it took the Flyers half this season to have two three-point players in a single game, they actually had three instances of it in 2014-15. Giroux and Voracek were responsible for two of them – because they’re extremely good players, and some of the absolute best the Flyers have to offer – but the third actually came from Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds when Schenn had two goals and an assist, and Simmonds, a goal and two assists.

Still, if there’s any game you can point to to highlight just how important Giroux and Voracek are – well, this one has to be up there.
