As we shared yesterday, the Flyers will play a preseason game at PPL Center in Allentown this fall. Officially it will be a game against the New York Islanders on September 21, 2015.

It will be the first NHL game at the year-old hockey arena. Tickets are available now for Phantoms season ticket holders. Tickets will go on sale for Flyers season ticket holders on Tuesday, July 28. They will go on sale for the general public on Thursday, July 30.

The Flyers will release the remainder of their 2015 preseason schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, June 10.

Here are quotes about this from important people:

“The Philadelphia Flyers are very excited to bring the National Hockey League to PPL Center for a preseason game vs. the NY Islanders on September 21,” said Flyers President Paul Holmgren. “Phantoms fans and hockey fans throughout the Lehigh Valley are passionate about their hockey and we are thrilled that they have the opportunity to come watch their favorite NHL players, up close and personal.”

“This is an incredible way to kick off the second season of hockey here at PPL Center,” said Phantoms co-owners Rob and Jim Brooks. “We’re thrilled to be affiliated with the Flyers and it is through that special relationship that we’re able to host this historic game in the Lehigh Valley.”
