The Flyers’ most recently selected first-rounder fired three pucks on net in his first professional game as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms beat the Hershey Bears 2-1 in overtime on Saturday before he suffered an unfortunate injury. We are still waiting on an update as to the extent of Foerster’s injury.

In his first action since his 25-point, 27-game effort recently in the Czech Tipsport Extraliga, Kase tossed a pair of shots on Hershey’s Pheonix Copley in the Phantoms’ 2-1 overtime victory.

In his first game since he represented Team Russia in a 4-3 defeat to Team Canada in the gold medal game at the 2020 World Junior Championship on January 5th, 2020 the 6’3” defender shot two pucks on net and committed a minor infraction.
Linus Hogberg (LHD), Lehigh Valley Phantoms

In his first professional game in North America Hogberg managed to get a pair of pucks on net.
Wyatte Wylie (RHD), Lehigh Valley Phantoms
2018 5th Round Pick, 127th overall
- 2/6 – 1 goal, 1 assist, 3 shots on goal, 2 penalty minutes/
Wylie’s shooting tendencies from junior carried over to at least his first pro game, as one of his three shots tied the contest at one with 44.7 seconds left before he made it a multi-point performance with the only helper on Ryan Fitzgerald’s winner in overtime.
Tanner Laczynski (C), Lehigh Valley Phantoms
2016 6th Round Pick, 169th overall

Laczynski may have been drafted with a partially nice number, but he failed to do a number of things in his first professional game as he went the whole tilt without a point, shot on goal, penalty minute, or difference in plus/minus.

General Manager Chuck Fletcher announced this week that Ratcliffe, who missed training camp because of a fractured rib, suffered a collapsed lung and required other surgeries due to the rib fracture as well. The power forward is expected to miss more time than originally anticipated. He also announced Wade Allison recently underwent ankle surgery, which will put him on the shelf for four-to-six weeks.

It was a challenging week for Desnoyers as he failed to convert on any of his eight shots, sat in the sin bin for six minutes, and won under half of his 86 draws over three games. The winger has already tied his season high in juniors with 12 goals this season and with 26 points needs 10 more to clear his highest point total as well.

Emil Andrae (LHD), Vasterviks IK (HockeyAllsvenskan)

Andrae shifted leagues this week, as he accrued his first tally in the HockeyAllsvenskan dressing in his first game with Vasterviks IK on Sunday.
Adam Ginning (LHD), Farjestad BK (SHL)
2018 2nd Round Pick, 50th overall
- 2/2 – 1 shot on goal, 1 hit, 2 penalty minutes
- 2/4 – 2 shots on goal, 1 hit
- 2/6 – 1 shot on goal, 2 penalty minutes/
Ginning tossed four shots on goal and provided a bit of violence with four penalty minutes and a pair of hits. The Swedish rearguard has fired 26 pucks on net, spent 41 minutes in the sin bin, and bodied 19 puck-carriers on top of his nine points (two goals) in 37 contests.
Olle Lycksell (F), Farjestad BK (SHL)
2017 6th Round Pick, 168th overall
Lycksell put forth one of his more dominant weeks of the season, as he deposited two of his 10 shots on goal in the back of the net. The 2017 selection is already having his second-highest point-producing campaign in the SHL with six tucks and seven assists for 13 points in 34 games with plenty of time to clear his career high of 21 points, which he recorded in 2019-20 with Linkoping HC.
Samuel Ersson (G), Brynas IF (SHL)
2018 5th Round Pick, 143rd overall
- 2/3 – 28 saves on 33 shots against, loss
- 2/4 – 26 saves on 28 shots against, loss
- 2/6 – 26-save shutout/
Brynas IF head coach Henrik Glaas turned to Ersson three times this week and the Swedish netminder provided three performances with 25-plus stops but could only record one victory. The former fifth-rounder is 11-16-2 with a .910 save percentage, 3.05 goals against average, and two shutouts this year.
German Rubtsov (C), HK Sochi (KHL)
2016 1st Round Pick, 22nd overall
It was another listless week for Rubtsov in the KHL, as the little impact he provided was negative. He is currently on a 10-game point drought and 16-game goal drought.
Ivan Fedotov (G), Traktor Chelyabinsk (KHL)
2015 7th Round Pick, 188th overall
- 2/1 – 31 saves on 34 shots, loss
- 2/3 – Did not play
- 2/5 – 30 saves on 32 shots against, shootout win
- 2/7 – Did not play/
Fedotov helped Traktor Chelyabinsk to two of the four points he could have won for them this week, as he provided a pair of 30-save outings. The late-rounder from 2015 is 11-7-3 in the KHL in 2020-21 with a .922 save percentage, 2.24 goals against average, and one shutout.
Matej Tomek (G), SaiPa (Liiga)
2015 3rd Round Pick, 90th overall
It was a week to forget for Tomek in the Liiga, as he stopped 15 shots in his only appearance and got zero goal support. The puckstopper has now lost three straight decisions and hasn’t won since December 30th.
Marcus Westfalt (C), Vasterviks IK (HockeyAllsvenskan)
2018 7th Round Pick, 205th overall
Westfalt still stands at seven points on the year as he hit the 38-game mark on the season by going 43.18 percent at the dot in a trio of appearances.
Prospects playing in NCAA
Bobby Brink (RW), University of Denver (NCHC)
2019 2nd Round Pick, 34th overall
Brink finally registered his first goal this collegiate season with five of his eight shot attempts hitting the net this week including one that went in on Saturday. The former second-rounder also added on an assist to reach seven points in the nine times he’s been dressed by Denver this year.
Ronnie Attard (RHD), Western Michigan University (NCHC)
2019 3rd Round Pick, 72nd overall
Despite the fact he launched 16 shot attempts at the opposing net this week with six of them on net, Attard (a.k.a. Lil Gudas) notched two apples to up his assist total to 10 as part of a 14-point, 20-game campaign.
Bryce Brodzinski (RW), University of Minnesota (Big Ten)
2019 7th Round Pick, 196th overall
Brodzinski and the Golden Gophers were mowed down by the Wisconsin Badgers in a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday, as the Flyers’ last pick in 2019 assisted on Minnesota’s only tally in an 8-1 thrashing to complete a pitiful aggregate of 12-1 in the two-game series.
Jack St. Ivany (RHD), Boston College (Hockey East)
2018 4th Round Pick, 112th overall
St. Ivany recorded eight shots on goal in 19 shot attempts in a shot-heavy week for the blue liner. He now has three points in nine contests with BC.
Jay O’Brien (C), Boston University (Hockey East)
2018 1st Round Pick, 19th overall
After O’Brien had four of his five shot attempts hit the net on Friday he failed to hit the cage once on Saturday. The 19th overall selection three years ago is up to six points (three goals) in eight appearances with the Terriers this year.
Noah Cates (LW), University of Minnesota-Duluth (NCHC)
2017 5th Round Pick, 137th overall
- 2/5 – 1 assist, 2 shots on goal, 7/13 on faceoffs
- 2/6 – 3 shots on goal, 2 blocked shots, 7/17 on faceoffs/
Cates compiled one point and eight shots attempts over two contests over the last seven days to up his 2020-21 numbers to five goals and 10 helpers in 19 games.
