Flyers that could play in the Olympics in 2026

Over the last weekend, the NHL, NHLPA, and IIHF announced that NHL players will once again be eligible to compete in the Winter Olympics, something that hasn’t happened in a decade. 

Because of this twelve-year gap, there’s a whole generation of players who have never even had the opportunity to represent their country on the biggest stage, including Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, and Nathan MacKinnon. There are no players on the Philly roster right now who have ever played in the Olympics! Not one.

While the technically-still-rebuilding Flyers aren’t exactly stocked with All-World talent, there’s still a few guys who could end up in Italy in 2026. A lot can happen in two years, especially in the hockey world, but let’s try to take a look at the potential Olympians under contract with the Flyers right now.
