After a rough weekend in which the Flyers blew leads in two games and only came out with one point in the standings, they’re back at home on Tuesday night to take on the Anaheim Ducks.
First, let’s get into Anaheim: the reigning Pacific Division champs got off to a brutal start this season, and for a while there it looked like the playoffs would be a long shot, despite the overall weakness of that division. Instead, they’ve gone 13-4-1 since Christmas and they’ve won six of their last seven games.
That includes a loss just last night across the state in Pittsburgh, where the Ducks got rolled by the Penguins, 6-2. Anaheim has won five straight games against the Flyers, including a 4-2 win earlier this year.
Fredrik Andersen probably gets the start in goal for Anaheim since John Gibson allowed six dang goals last night.
