Predictions

These numbers might be surprising to anyone who hasn\'t watched much hockey this season. One might think that the Oilers should be monstrous favorites over the Flyers, who aren\'t expected to have much success this year, but it\'s a bit too early in the season, and the Oilers showed a little weakness in their first two games.

Edmonton comes in as the expected winner, but only by a goal. After dropping both games of a home-and-home with the Vancouver Canucks, the Oilers blew out the Nashville Predators on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Flyers shut out the Canucks on Tuesday, winning their home opener and hoping to garner some momentum in the Wells Fargo Center

Realistically, the best odds come with an Oilers pick. Yes, they\'ve lost twice. Yes, they\'re the visiting team. But their roster is simply too good, and it seems strange that they are Puck Line underdogs.
