BSH Radio reacts following 3-2 loss to Vegas

“An inexcusable loss” is the description of this game in the Facebook Live postgame video, and after battling out of one-goal deficits, twice, on game-tying tallies by Claude Giroux (25) and Wayne Simmonds (21), the Philadelphia Flyers blew a chance at even one point by failing on several opportunities to get the puck cleared from the defensive zone late in the third period.

Valtteri Filppula and Simmonds had old friend Pierre-Edouard Bellemare outnumbered along the boards, but Philadelphia’s sacrifice to the expansion draft out-worked his former teammates along the boards, got the puck down low and then maneuvered around Radko Gudas to poke it once again by Filppula, finding Cody Eakin behind the net, who then centered to Ryan Carpenter for the game-winning goal that got by Petr Mrazek through an Andrew MacDonald screen.

Oh yeah, and the Flyers penalty kill allowed two goals on a pair of Vegas Golden Knights power plays. If nothing else, at least they’re consistent.

WOOOOO!

Check out Bill’s reaction to the game and where it looks like the team is headed from here on the BSH Radio Facebook Live postgame video.
