Friday Morning Fly By: Flying into the weekend

*We’ve got an off night heading into the weekend; the boys take on the Florida Panthers tomorrow. They’re good. But maybe so are the Flyers?! Anyhoo, here’s what we learned from Wednesday’s big-time-fun win over the Boston Bruins. [BSH]

*I don’t know about you folks but when the preseason concluded I was wondering where the heck the goals were going to come from. Turns out the answer is: the second line. All of them. [Inquirer]

*Speaking of, Corey Pronman did a redraft of the 2018 class and hoo boy did our boy Joel make a big huge jump. [The Athletic]

*Listen, there was no way all eyes weren’t going to be on Rasmus Ristolainen when he made his debut Wednesday. And he made two mistake that ended with the puck behind Martin Jones, which means they’re stuck in our minds. So we dove into the game he had. [BSH]

*Our Western PA rivals are having a tough time at the moment, with both Jeff Carter and Tristan Jarry being placed into covid protocol. [Pensburgh]

*And they’re still without Sidney Crosby. [Sportsnet]
