Friday Morning Fly By: Fourth time’s a charm

*The Flyers will get their fourth crack at the stupid Boston Bruins tonight, and perhaps they learned some lessons on Wednesday that will lead them to a different result. [Inquirer]

*Because Wednesday’s loss was the result of bookends of trash play that completely erased the fact that the played very well for the middle of the game. That can’t happen twice in a row. Right? [NBC Sports Philly]

*And in a lot of ways, the Flyers had this game coming. Getting unlucky rather than really, really lucky. [BSH]

*Anyhoo, looking around a bit, it would appear that Sam Bennett is going to be traded from Calgary at some point soon. [Matchsticks and Gasoline]

*The Covid situation is getting messy. Messier? Whatever, but the league has had to postpone more than 20 games already this season, which is not great. Here’s what we know so far. [USA Today]

*We now know that the Sabres’ head coach is infected. The latest of the positive tests to come out of Buffalo. [Die By The Blade]

*Krueger is now one of forty people on the Covid protocol currently; this has lead the NHL to start changing some rules and practices league-wide to try and get a handle on this. [AP]

*And finally, to give you something to look forward to, the USA-Canada rivalry at the next Olympics will be going in full force as Team USA’s pool of talent has gotten much, much better. It’ll be a fun battle once we get there. [The Athletic]
