Friday Morning Fly By: It’s lotto day!

*It’s draft lottery day! Hooray! As a result of kicking ass all over the second half of the season, the Flyers have no shot at a top-3 pick. It’s all a little confusing this year, so let’s turn to Uncle Bob for explanation (it’s a whole thread of tweets, very good breakdown):

*Bob’s final rankings is also worth a look today. [TSN]

*While you don’t want to say there’s anything good about all of… this, it’s pretty nice that all of our injured guys have had time to heal up. Like Phil Myers, who is ready to roll. [Inquirer]

*Nate Thompson is ready to go now too, which, you know… it’s Nate Thompson but you gotta think these depth guys are going to be important during this run. [Inquirer]

*Anyone else outraged that Rod The Bod didn’t get into the Hall? And friggin’ Kevin Lowe did?? [BSH]

*Charlie’s outstanding examination of the Flyers’ forecheck continues with a look at who were the best first men in. [The Athletic]

*You know who I’m personally tired of hearing about? Misha Vorobyev. Anyway, here’s what his season looked like. [BSH]

*It seems like once a month we have a conversation about that (admittedly awesome) 5OT game, and this time we got to hear from Boosh about his experience. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Apropos of nothing, the fine folks over at the Flames blog graded Zac Rinaldo and, shockingly, nary an F to be seen. That’s wild. [Matchsticks and Gasoline]

*In what shouldn’t really be a huge surprise, since it’s Seattle and all, Amazon has purchased the naming rights to the arena being built for the as-yet-unnamed team, and they’re making a whooooole thing about it. [Seattle Times]

*It would appear that Vancouver is out of the hub city running because of… high standards? Or something? [ProHockeyTalk]

*And finally, ever think back on one of your old Flyers-related opinions and think about how dumb you were? It’s a fun exercise! [BSH]
