Friday Morning Fly By: Let’s even this series up, gang

The Flyers look to even up their best-of-seven series with the Penguins tonight at 7pm from PPG Paints Arena, but in the meantime here are some links to get you through to puck drop.

*The Flyers may have lost 7-0 in game one, but just about nothing went right and the final score mirrored what we saw essentially since the opening face off. [BSH]

*So just how bad were Claude Giroux, Sean Couturier, and Michael Raffl on Wednesday? There won’t be any lineup changes per Thursday’s skate, but is that the right call by Dave Hakstol? [BSH]

*”Game 1 was a team-wide failure on the part of the Flyers, and looking for individuals who escape criticism is like looking for a good cheesesteak in Pittsburgh: an exercise in futility.” Yeah that sounds about right. [The Athletic]

*Getting shots through to the net was a struggle for the Flyers, again. Shocker. [Courier-Post]

*Brian Elliott has the support of his teammates after getting pulled in game one, and more importantly: his coach. [Courier-Post]

*Claude Giroux called game one one of the worst he’s ever been a part of, the captain on how the Flyers need to respond. [NBCSP]
