Jakub Voracek to miss Saturday’s game with lower-body injury

It looks like the Flyers will get Claude Giroux back in the lineup for Saturday’s game against Arizona. They got Sean Couturier back this week. But the luck stops there.

The Flyers announced late Friday afternoon that Jake Voracek will not play on Saturday, and that he’s out with a lower-body injury. They say he will be re-evaluated on Monday.

The Flyers don’t play Sunday and are back in action on Monday night against Calgary. There’s no real indication on what happened to Jake, so we won’t speculate. But this sucks nonetheless. Voracek has played 286 straight games, the longest active streak on the team.
