Don’t Stop Believin’ sucks

What is there to say?

The Philadelphia Flyers took a quick business trip to the Little Caesars Arena to play a hockey game against the last place Detroit Red Wings and came home with the two points expected of them.

Brian Elliott earned a shutout with 16 saves. Kevin Hayes scored his second short-handed goal in as many games to tie Travis Konecny for the overall team lead with 17. Detroit is very bad and the Flyers, while unspectacular, did what they had to do.

And hey, look at that, Philly is 2-0-2 in their last four road games. For a team that looked to be bottoming out away from the Wells Fargo Center, six of eight points is pretty damn impressive.

For a bit more analysis on a game that honestly should’ve been over halfway through the first period, but was still never really in doubt, check out the latest postgame podcast, please and thank you.
