Michal Neuvirth returns after practice, claims to be fully healthy

Eyebrows were raised when Philadelphia Flyers goalie Michal Neuvirth missed practice this morning. And after the team announced that Neuvirth was being checked out by a doctor as well, it seemed like an extended absence was on the horizon.

Right now, it looks like that was a false alarm.

Neuvirth returned after practice and claimed to be fine, first reported by Sarah Baicker of CSNPhilly.

While the nature of his ailment remains unknown, it does not appear to be serious. For now, the Flyers expect that Neuvirth will be active for Thursday’s game against the Washington Capitals, though Steve Mason most likely get the start.
