*The Florida Panthers had one job to do this weekend – tie up the series heading back to Vegas – and they did not do this. So tomorrow might be the day we see the Cup. Thrilling! This weekend was also the draft combine, and apparently the defensemen impressed. [Inquirer]

*Here’s a more full list of results from the combine, if you’re into that kind of thing. [Sportsnet]

*Speaking of the defensemen in this upcoming draft, one in particular is getting a lot of attention. Would like to see the Flyers not go this route. Goals are more fun. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Another prospect people can’t stop talking about is Matvei Michkov, and that’s mostly because no one really knows what is going to happen there. [Inquirer]

*We’re up to pick number 18 on the Community Board, and this one is apparently a bit on the divisive side. [BSH]

*There’s a center projected to be available at seven that the Flyers might take a look at. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Alright, outside of the draft all eyes are on the summertime trade market. For us, we have one single move on which to judge Danny Briere, and it kicked things off well. [BSH]

*It would appear that the goalie market will be particular hot this summer, which might explain why there are so many Carter Hart rumors kicking around. [Sportsnet]

*There are reasons to trade Carter Hart, to be sure. There are also a few reasons why we absolutely should not. [BSH]

*How about Tony DeAngelo? What can be done with that guy? [The Athletic]

*A brand new trade rumor involving the Flyers kicked up this weekend. [Sportsnet]

*A nice handy full rundown of the current state of trade rumors is here, if you’d like a nice handy full rundown. [The Athletic]

*And finally… so calling the coach that’s been here a year the soul of the organization is pretty wild, right? [Inquirer]
