Monday Morning Fly By: And now, we bandwagon

*Yesterday was a wrap on the NHL regular season, which means now we get to pick a fun good hockey team to root for! If you’re into that kind of thing. *We’ve also got a full schedule for the first round and it is fixing to be a REALLY good time for hockey fans. [NHL.com]

*If you’re wondering what to expect from this first round, the short answer is: madness. [Sportsnet]

*Anyhoo, the Flyers. Friday’s last game of the season came along with a rather unceremonious unveiling of the winners of this season’ team awards. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Speaking of awards, we now know the winners of the points-based awards for the league. [ProHockeyTalk]

*Then over the weekend we got the exit interview pressers, most notably one from Ryan Ellis. [BSH]

*Ellis seemed to want to make very clear that he likes it here and wants to play for the Flyers. [NBC Sports Philly]

*A running theme through several of the players’ comments was that they really want fans to know they’ll do better next year. Isn’t that nice?! [Inquirer]

*Ivan Provorov sure had some things to say. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Charlie’s got the 10 most important things from those pressers, for your convenience. [The Athletic]

*It’s going to be a long summer which means we have a lot of time to reflect on just what the heck went wrong here this year. [Inquirer]

*Really thought what didn’t go wrong? Charlie’s post-mortem on the season very eloquently lays out exactly what most of us have been thinking for a while now: it’s all bad. [The Athletic]

*We got a new Flyperbole for you, it dropped this weekend, you may have missed it. [BSH]

*And finally, it’s over. We’re done. Now we can look ahead. [BSH]
