Monday Morning Fly By: Happy “ oh man that’s way too much” day!!!

*Pretty busy weekend ahead of today’s (probable) madness. The Toronto Maple Leafs went and hired Dave Hakstol. So first, ha. But seriously, maybe he’ll do well for them. [BSH]

*The Flyers wrapped up their development camp with a rather fun scrimmage Saturday evening. [NBC Sports Philly]

*And then they bought out David Schlemko. Which is… curious. [BSH]

*I went to watch the scrimmage and what I enjoyed the most was a line of Bobby Brink, Morgan Frost, and Isaac Ratcliffe that scored two of the goals for the winning orange team and looked fun as hell every time they were on the ice. And Brink, little as he is, looked pretty darn good. [Inquirer]

*About that busy weekend… the Penguins finally did the thing and traded Phil Kessel. To Arizona. [Five For Howling]

*And then Ottawa and the Leafs swapped bad defensemen with Cody Ceci headed to TO and Nikita Zaitsev on his way to the capital. It’ll be interesting to see what the end game is here, because no chance Dubas actually wants Ceci. [Pension Plan Puppets]

*The Canadians™ sat down with Carter Hart to talk rookie success, pressure, and how it feels to meet your heroes. [Sportsnet]

*Hart isn’t the only goalie getting some attention lately, as now-healthy Felix Sandstrom is starting to look like a pretty nice Plan B for the Flyers. [Courier-Post]

*Anyway… it’s Free Agency Day! A few big names remain, but mostly Bs and Cs. Might the Flyers try to add that third line right winger? [Inquirer]

*Or what about a guy like Tyler Ennis? Not flashy, but gets the job done. [BSH]

*Here’s a few under-the-radar names that might make an impact should a team sign them. [ProHockeyTalk]

*Free agency seems to be the subject of the biggest questions surrounding this team, so it could be an interesting week. [Sports Illustrated]

*And finally, in case you missed it… brand new Flyperbole! [BSH]
