Monday Morning Fly By: Oh whatever, Marc

*So the Flyers tried real hard Saturday afternoon but they just didn’t get there. Why, you ask? Marc-Andre Fleury and his stupid face were lights out. Miss the game? RECAP!

*Charlie’s ten things will be a good read for you after this one, since there were some big positives in the frustrating loss and Charlie does well to point them out to you. [The Athletic]

*Have you been wondering what John Boruk thought of the effort? No? Well here it is anyway. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Ever noticed that, when the Flyers get off to a slow start or fall into a hole score-wise they typically struggle to get things back together? What’s that about? [BSH]

*Part of the above-mentioned problem is on Dave Hakstol, who, for some reason, is here being interviewed by Jim Jackson about a bunch of random stuff in the hopes that it will make you like him. [Flyers]

*With the injuries that the team has been dealing with to start the season, Dale Weise has found himself with a spot in the lineup. And he’s been…not terrible? [Philly.com]

*Dale’s most remarkable postive-thing since hitting the ice was his targeted, clean, retaliatory hit on Vegas defenseman Brayden McNabb, whose arguably-dirty third period hit to Oskar Lindblom’s head took the second-line winger out of the game. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Remember how fun Team North America was in the World Cup of Hockey? The folks over at The Athletic have been looking back and in an exercise that had them putting together a new, 2018-version of Team NA, Carter Hart makes the squad. [NBC Sports Philly]

*On Scott Laughton’s summer training, and how it has prepared him to take on any role the Flyers see fit to place him in. [Courier-Post]

*And finally, check out our latest episode of Ice Sport Radio, in which we take a look at Rod the Bod’s early success in Carolina. [BSH]
