Monday Morning Fly By: Soon you will be free

*Bad news is the Flyers lost. Good news is we are surely moments away from being totally free from this very, very frustrating season. Recap.

*Saturday afternoon’s game was… well, it was. They’re not the reason the Flyers lost by any stretch but honestly, the most remarkable part of that game was the terrible officiating. Quite possibly the worst-reffed game I’ve ever seen. Anyoo, if you missed it, here’s what we learned. [BSH]

*Carter Hart was good, though. And Bernie thinks he’s something special, so that seems like a good thing right? [Philly.com]

*The loss on Saturday seems to have allowed the players to accept that the playoffs aren’t happening this season, which is good. Acceptance is good. No reason for these guys to kill themselves this year, we need them to be perfect next year. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Like Sean Couturier. The Flyers will need him next year. Which means it’s very good news that he’s quickly becoming one of the best forwards in the league. [NBC Sports Philly]

*While the Flyers have accepted that they are out, their friends up in Allentown are still fighting to stay in, which makes the final twelve games in the AHL season very important for the Phantoms. [BSH]

*Dave’s also got a look at which kids are performing the best down the stretch for Lehigh Valley. [Courier-Post]

*You may be annoyed that the Flyers’ late season push will mean draft pick somewhere in the middle of the first round, but there’s a kid we’ve been looking at here at BSH (s/t to Jake Fahringer) who may be available when the Flyers pick that we won’t want them to sleep on. [Mile High Hockey]
