Monday Morning Fly By: Way she goes, boys

Well, that’s it. The final weekend of the Flyers’ season went as the season did, with a roaring high followed by the lowest low, and the Flyers were eliminated from contention by the Penguins in six games. So given that there is little in the way of hockey news right now, outside of results, I thought we’d just link to the game coverage from this weekend for reference and have ourselves a wake. Let’s talk about the good and the bad from this season, the ups and the downs, the things we’d change, the stuff we loved. The end always sucks. Let’s take a day to look back. And so, here we are:

*Game 5: Flyers 4, Penguins 2. Ten things we learned from a big win in Pittsburgh to send the series home. [BSH]

*Game 6: Penguins 8, Flyers 5. It was a roller coaster of a game, with an end as bad as the beginning was good. Recap.

*And for good measure, the Phantoms are in the playoffs as well, currently tied at one game a piece in their five-game first round series with the Baby Bruins. Game one was a win for the Phantoms, and then in game two, Providence had the edge to tie the series up. If you’ve never been to Allentown for a game, head on up. It’s a great time.
