Monday Morning Fly By: You, we, all of us, cannot have nice things

*The Flyers dropped SEVEN (7) goals on Henrik Lundqvist yesterday afternoon after winning their first game in 134 years in Columbus on Friday night. Not bad, right? Pretty, pretty, pretty good. Miss that Rangers game? RECAP!

*But alas, when things go well for us Flyers fans the universe must correct the balance. And as such, we are without Michal Neuvirth for an undisclosed amount of time due to an undisclosed lower body injury. If you’re keeping count, that’s two of two goalies down. Not great. [ProHockeyTalk]

*Alex Lyon was very solid in relief of the injured Neuvirth Sunday, though. But we’ve seen that before, eh? [Philly.com]

*So…which player can the Flyers least afford to lose? Ignore that first one, it’ll wound. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Who can the Flyers target as far as goalie rentals go? It’s slim pickings, I’m afraid. [Courier-Post]

*The Flyers will need to make some kind of move for a goalie at this point, though. That’s clear. They’re making a playoff push and the Metro Division remains and absolute madhouse. [All About The Jersey]

*The men’s hockey round robin wrapped up this weekend at the Olympics, and it’s been uh…well…not great. But we are getting a look at some players who may be future stars in the NHL, and that’s kind of cool. [Washington Post]

*As we head into the deadline, everyone is going to hope for a big flashy trade that sets the hockey world on fire. But we probably won’t get one, because, as we know, NHL GMs tend to think big flashy trades are a terrible idea. [Tampa Bay.com]

*And finally, are you mentally prepared for the Edmonton Oilers to luck into another first overall pick? Because we’re headed that way. Which is insane. [ProHockeyTalk]
